When I first saw Marcus Fischer perform it looked visually like Jimmy Page met with Nam June Paik. But, when you listen, it is something totally its own. Marcus’ textural soundscapes are created from field recordings. Add in a violin bow with a guitar, and it’s something really special.
It was a nice surprise to find out that the images from Marcus’ time at Robert Rauschenberg Residency 24 made their way into an article from the Whitney Museum promoting a performance he had there.
