GENERAL PLANNING

01

If this is day one of planning your wedding in the Columbia Gorge, a great rule of thumb is plan around the light. There is a more limited time frame for sunlight because this area is settled between two ridges. This makes planning around the light more important than if one was in another part of the country.

While it may seem like a small initial challenge, we often encourage our couples to plan around sunset. Having this time both set aside for photos and to work backwards from is a cornerstone for our wedding timelines.

WHEN TO HIRE A SECOND SHOOTER

02

To put it simply, you and your photographer are able to do so much more, with much less stress, by having a second shooter.

If you find that you want a perfectly captured story line for your day, dynamic detail shots, or a large quantity of family pictures - a second shooter would be recommended.
